Check-in

Still going! I've had a bit of a chest cold going on this week, so I've been cautious about going, as I cannot BREATHE! So, probably more next week, but I'm shooting for 3 days this week. 1 down, 2 to go. We'll see!

Sleep Biking

I got next to no sleep last night. No, that's not what I'm gonna write about...I just wanted to build up the difficulty of my morning for you. I actually got a wonderful workout today. I rode on one of the gym's newer bikes. It was connected to a computer and I got to choose my scenery and compete against other people on my course. It was fantastic! My heart rate was excellent, the sweat was pouring, my legs were aching!

Before I knew it I had done almost 4 miles. I feel great...and really tired. I worked out anyway!!! This is truly is an achievement for me my friends! I've got Hawaii on the brain, especially since it looks like Fargo outside!

Ladies in their 80's...

So, I decided to shake things up a bit at the gym. I bought a punch card to take the classes. Quick note...must vent. My tax dollars went toward the creation of above said gym. We pay a "member" price for a month pass...which is only $5 less than non-members (non-residents) AND we have to pay extra for the classes. I feel ripped off...but it's convenient to go there and works really well with my schedule...so....venting done!

I took a water aerobics class today. I DO really enjoy water aerobics as it is low on joint impact (my knees). However, this class wasn't for me. Or was it? The first day is kind of always awkward, new steps, etc. So I took it "easy" and found that it wasn't that great of a work out.

I felt kind of...well...REALLY out of place as I was the only one under the age of 80 in there. Is it weird that I wanted to take this class in the first place? lol...not sure on that one still. It wasn't the shallow "easy" class, either. Anyway, I think I might go back one more time to this specific class to give it my all and then gauge what I wanna do from there.

I really do want to take a WA class, just not sure how to fit the other classes into my schedule yet. I was really looking for a change today...GOT IT! Have a great weekend everybody!

Quick Report

Hey everybody...still going strong! No weight loss yet, as I am taking it a day at a time. I do FEEL incredible. I have agreed to be Weight Watcher buddies with Candace. Weigh-in is next Thursday. We are both pretty excited about that!

Ok, so I have set a new goal for myself. Nathan and I have decided that for our 10 year anniversary we are going to take a Hawaiian Cruise. You know what that means??? NO FAT PICTURES! I have 2 years to achieve my goal. I'm pretty excited about this...I know it is a great deal of time, but I've got a great deal of weight to get off.

Anyhow, just wanted to say...I'm still here and going. Thank you for your concern and encouragement, it really means a lot!

I was doing sooo good...

So, I worked out all last week and I absolutely love it!!! I find that I love the eliptical at 9 am while watching "The Price is Right" with closed captioning. I think the only way I can tolerate that show is in closed captioning! I found myself a few times on there like saying out loud....no that's too low!
I'm totally lame! But, hey...it's serves it's purpose! I get my exercise and do some "fantasy" shopping!

Anyhow, I found my groove and really enjoy the routine and the way I feel. I went Monday this week and have been home bound since due to Raven's pink eye. If we are all well and clear of the gunk next week, I can't wait to get back!

So far, so sore...

Hey all, doing really good this week. I DO want Candace to be my workout buddy, but finances are a little tight on both ends, so we are going to put off going together for a little bit. I, however, am doing fabulous.

I did the eliptical, or rather, it did me in! It felt great, though. I decided that I was having the "blues" a little more than necessary. I HAD to get out and get exercising! I feel SO much better, it's really amazing. I'm getting so much more done, too!

I've set a goal to workout 3 days a week. I have been successful this week. I really like having a schedule, not to mention an hour to myself! Thanks for your support ladies.

Now, if I could just get my appetite under control! lol

I'm Excited!

I've been working out at the local Rec. Center and have some goals! I have a work out buddy (Candace) and we plan to go together. I realized I really need that. I also know that if I make an appointment for Tessa to go to the Nursery there, I also feel SUPER accountable to make our reservations.

Mind tricks, I know...but it's working. It's just part of the routine. Baby steps, right?

A New Day, A New Goal

So, I'm taking a new stab at this! I've nursed my knee pretty good (not totally) but am tired of the mall. So, I got a membership (for the month) to the local rec. center here. I'm pretty excited to have some time to myself. I got Tessa a punch card for the nursery there, so I'm FREE! Starting bright and early tomorrow morning.

Little Update..

Ok, so I know it's been a while. I've been walking a few times a week at the mall. I have a tender knee right now...not sure what I did. So, until it's feeling a bit better I'm gonna take it easy. The mall and I are really getting along great...all that window shopping! Tessa's a good motivation, too...she always asks if we are going to go.

I'm Back!

I'm back and doing well. I haven't started my exercising yet...but I'm on it soon! I figured if I wanna change the outside I really need to work on the inside, too. I've started my new year with some new recipes. If any of you have any great "figure friendly" recipes, I would really love to try 'em. I am trying to incorporate more fish in my diet. 'Nuff said.

I'm back and ready to go. New entries to come....
